Our Story, Mission and Values
Founded originally in the textile town of Bolton and more recently moving to Silverdale, Crafty Little Bird grew from a passion for vintage sewing, needlework and homemade crafts. Our mission is to create a welcoming environment where anyone can learn and enjoy crafts. We value community, creativity, and preserving traditional techniques with a friendly, approachable teaching style.

Julie has always had a passion for crafts. Solidifying her love of needle craft and sewing, she studied surface textiles at university in one of the key textile towns of the north, Bolton. A skilled teacher, bringing vintage craft techniques to life through hands-on guidance and support. Join us to learn new skills, explore retro styles, and become part of our community that celebrates the art of crafting.
